Novitiate During
a two-year novitiate, the novice is instructed in the basic requirements of
religious life and begins living the
evangelical counsels. The novice is
helped to develop an intimate union with Christ and to dedicate herself
gradually to the missionary apostolate. |

Temporary
Vows Vows
that are periodically professed during the five to six years of juniorate formation. Junior professed Sisters are assisted in
developing the maturity required to make a perpetual commitment to the life
and mission of the Congregation and to integrate more fully their religious
and apostolic formation. |

Perpetual
Vows At
perpetual profession, the Sister consecrates herself to God for life. She
becomes fully incorporated into the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate and
assumes the obligation perpetually to observe the evangelical counsels of
chastity, poverty, and obedience and to live according to the Congregation’s
constitutions and statutes. |
Our Foundress had a great devotion to the Sacred Heart
of Jesus. |
